A Backyard Built for the Best Days
In Babylon, NY, we turned an ordinary backyard into a complete resort-style sanctuary — one designed to be lived in from the first warm day of spring straight through to the last bonfire of fall. This project had it all: a stunning swimming pool design, an elevated spa, a covered pavilion, and a paver patio that ties every element together seamlessly.
The Pool & Spa — A Showstopping Centerpiece
The heart of this backyard is a dramatic freeform swimming pool paired with an elevated circular hot tub that commands attention the moment you step outside. The spa sits raised above the patio on a bold platform wrapped in Super Black Natural Stone, creating a striking contrast against the cool grey tones of the surrounding pavers. Techo-Bloc Shale Grey coping frames both the pool and spa edge, delivering a clean, refined finish that unifies the entire water feature.
The aerial views say it best — the organic shape of the pool and the circular spa create a design that feels intentional, flowing, and luxurious from every angle.
Techo-Bloc Pavers & Inlay Turf
The expansive paver patio was installed using Techo-Bloc Blue 60 in Shale Grey Smooth — a large-format paver that brings a modern, polished aesthetic while standing up to everything Long Island weather has to offer. The patio wraps the entire pool and spa, providing generous space for entertaining, sunbathing, and movement throughout the yard.
A custom inlay turf grid was woven directly into the paver field, creating a dedicated lounge zone that feels fresh and high-end. The crisp green squares set against the smooth grey stone add a layer of design sophistication that elevates the entire space — and requires zero maintenance.
The Pavilion — Outdoor Living, Redefined
Under the stunning covered pavilion, this backyard becomes a true four-season living room. The open-gable structure shelters a full outdoor seating arrangement centered around a sleek fire pit table — the perfect spot for evening conversation with the pool glowing in the background. This space bridges the gap between indoors and out, offering shade, comfort, and a front-row seat to one of Long Island’s finest backyard designs.
Landscaping That Frames It All
The landscape design was carefully planned to provide privacy without sacrificing style. Columnar arborvitae line the entire perimeter, softening the fence line and creating a lush, private backdrop that makes the yard feel like its own world. Accent plantings, thoughtfully placed greenery, and integrated stepping stones round out the design with texture and flow.
Every Inch, Intentional.
From the drone views down to the details of the stone surround, this Babylon backyard was designed with purpose and built to last. It’s the kind of outdoor space that doesn’t just add value to a home — it changes the way you live in it.
